Stained glass for the Nanoscience Centre, University of Cambridge, 11 JJ Thomson Avenue, Cambridge CB3 OFF

This work mixes stacked glass (1568 pieces) with conventional leaded lights. I was asked to base the central leaded area on the logo of the Department. The logo itself (not my design) appears on the Nanoscience website, and represents the action of an "atomic force microscope".

Acknowledgements: Metal Fusion Technology Ltd., Unit B6/7 Brook Street Business Centre, Brook Street, Tipton DY4 9DD for making the aluminium framework to my design.

Dave Roberts and technicians at the Engineering Department of Cambridge University for technical advice, general assistance and manufacture of the brackets to hang the frame.

Dene Robertson for assistance with the installation.
